THRU OCTOBER 30, 2021 — Thank you to everyone who joined us last weekend for the opening of Spaces IN Between – an exhibition exploring abstraction, surrealism, and cubism and introducing New York artists Al Johnson, Anton Modern Art, and BAI to the Detroit arts landscape, along with local emerging artist, Sam Kthar.
The opening was everything we’d hoped for – with friends and art-lovers flowing in throughout the day. It was a joy to have Sam Kthar in the house to hold down the floor for both NYC and Detroit (this phenomenal local artist has roots in New York and Iraq!). BAI, as some of you know, has generated quite the Detroit buzz on-line, so many admirers showed up to meet his work in-person. And, we were proud to introduce the highly-collectible works of Al Johnson and Anton to the Detroit art-loving community, and they are equally excited to be here!
More art has arrived since the start of the show so, even if you were here last weekend, we urge you to visit again. Stay tuned, artist talk and programming dates TBA….
